Edgefield Cider has been making cider for 25 years. To celebrate we will be releaseing the Edgefield Traditional Perry.
Edgefield Cider and Black Cherry Cider will be on special all day.

Edgefield Traditional Perry
Unfiltered and aged 6 months in neutral oak barrels, this Perry is made from true Perry Pears, giving it a natural tannic complexity and bright acidity. In the glass it is cloudy and pale yellow, with a spicy bouquet of dried hay and lemon blossom. On the palate it is dry, with a full, rich mouthfeel. Notes of apricot, grilled pineapple, with subtle hints of ginger, brine, and leather.
Pears, unlike apples and grapes, contain a higher percentage of un-fermentable sugars (mainly sorbitol), so the finished fermentation contains a higher level of sweetness from these residual sugars. The perry pears used here are higher in acid and tannin than dessert pears, so the perry went through a secondary malolactic fermentation and barrel aging to soften the mouthfeel.
