Beer Bites: Learning to Eat Your Beer

Enjoying a cold brew at the end of the day is pretty common, but have you ever cooked with beer? Join us for an evening of small bites and beer as author Andrea Slonecker takes us through her favorite recipes, paired perfectly with the hoppy and malty beverages we love so much. You will taste your way through three of Andrea’s creations:

Liptauer Cheese on Rye Toasts with Sliced Radishes / Helles Lager or Kellerbier
This German cheese spread is a perfect snack and will be paired with a traditional beer from the region.

Mussels in Celery-Gueze Cream / Gueuze
Mussels steamed in an amazing Belgian sour ale – the perfect main course that is sure to impress.

Fruit Beer Floats / American Wild & Sour Ale with Fruit
Vanilla ice cream scooped into a glass of local fruit beer, such as kriek. What could be better?

Andrea Slonecker is a cookbook author, food stylist and instructor. Besides Beer Bites, she has also written Pretzel Making at Home and Eggs on Top.
