Basque Supper Club & The Txoko Experience

Join us at Urdaneta (3033 NE Alberta St. Portland, OR) on Sunday April 8th, 2018 at 6PM for a very special Basque Supper Club and an exclusive screening of “”The Txoko Experience: The Secret Culinary Space of the Basques””, along with scriptwriter, Marcela Garces. “In the Basque Country, everything revolves around food,” states Yuri Morejon, Director of the film. “Txokos represent a distinctive, albeit enigmatic element of Basque gastronomy.” A Q&A will be held with her following the film and then we will move into our Txoko inspired 6 course dinner, with Urdaneta’s Chef Javier Canteras and Wine Director, Jon Joseph Lawrence. Chef Javier pulls from his own childhood experiences of visiting his grandfather’s txoko and promises to deliver a most memorable evening of Basque spirit, food, and wine.
